2016 is here!!!
February is here already and 2016 is now well underway.  January is over and we have already seen the Kents start with many PB's and great individual performances.
The first Millennium event was hosted by us at Maidstone Leisure Centre which saw us come a very close second to Larkfield by only 4 points.  A great result for theTeam, all the swimmers and Lisa Booth for her first Millennium gala after picking up the reins from Greg Lynn.
A massive thank you to all the coaches, volunteers and officials - without their help, these events and the great achievements would not be possible.
Well done to the swimmers for all of their continued hard work - keep it up and good luck for the up and coming events.
We have the Presentation Evening to look forward to on Saturday 27 February 2016 don't forget to get your tickets early to make sure you don't miss out.  It will be a great evening and a chance to have a night away from the pool.
We will also be organising a trip to Gravity in Maidstone which I'm sure is going to be great fun - date to be confirmed but will be shortly after the Kents.
I'm sure you'll all agree 2016 looks like its going to be a great and exciting year for us all at Maidstone Swimming Club

Every now and again Maidstone Swimming Club issue out the Lifetime Membership award.  This award is issued out to people who have tirelessly put into and done so much for the club that the best accolade and recognition for this is to make them a Lifetime member.

This year it has been awarded to 2 people - Rob Tritton and Carina Enderby.

Rob has been the club Chairperson for over 5 years, being a major contributor and helping the club to where it is today.  Sadly, due to other life and work commitments, he has decided to stand down.  He will still be around helping out in the background, pool side and helping new and upcoming members with his experience and knowledge.  He has also agreed to stay on as a General Member on the Committee.

Carina has been a member at Maidstone Swimming Club for over 25 years and in that time has tirelessly been there through ‘thick and thin’, always helping out where needed. More recently she has been a massive driving force with developing Maidstone Swimming Clubs officials as well as for Kent as a whole.  Carina is retiring from the mainstream but will still be poolside and even swimming from time to time at the pool.

I ’am sure the swimmers, coaching team, other volunteers and everyone at Maidstone Swimming Club wish them all the very best for the future and give them a massive well done and

Thank you both.
